Peter Hoenig, born in Bishops Stortford, England, was admitted to the New York Bar in 1976. He has specialized in maritime, aviation, environmental and pollution, employment and labor, commercial, insurance and reinsurance claims, arbitrations and litigations. He has defended engineers, physicians, hospitals, insurance agents, brokers, and other professionals against lawsuits alleging professional misconduct. He has represented several major airlines and manufacturers, distributors, and international insurance brokers in complex insurance and reinsurance disputes throughout the United States, and has had considerable experience in trial and appellate practice in the New York State courts and Federal courts throughout the United States, including the United States Supreme Court. He has authored articles on product liability, aviation and space law and has lectured on topics related to transportation and insurance matters.
